Hermeneutics - Individualizing - Dec 8, 2014

One of the most common mistakes people make in interpreting Scripture is that of Individualizing. Individualizing occurs when we take a statement or promise found in the Bible and immediately read ourselves into it. We automatically assume the statement is about us or the promise is for us. We will look at a couple of examples of this, one from Experiencing God authored by Henry Blackaby, and learn how to avoid this very common mistake. Avoiding mistakes in hermeneutics enables us to have a better understanding of God and "experience" Him - rightly! Visit us at JustinPeters.org.
